The 1st Sino-American University Students’ Academic Forum Held in SHNU

   SHNU: The 1st Sino-American University Students’ Academic Forum co-organized by SHNU School of Finance and Business and State University of New York at Oswego (SUNY Oswego) was jointly held the other day.

The first prize of the forum goes to Eyub Yegen from the Commercial College of SUNY Oswego, whose thesis is entitled “Predicting the Default Characteristics of Microfinance Borrowers in Turkey: A Probit Analysis”.

Preparations for the forum lasted for half a year. The forum received nearly 30 pieces of papers written by students from 4 universities of the US and China. After careful selection of the organizing committee, 9 students from SUNY Oswego, Weber State University and Utah Valley University, and 6 students from SHNU School of Finance and Business were selected to present their ideas on the forum. 6 pieces of papers won the first, second, third prizes respectively, and 12 pieces of papers were awarded the winning prize.

The 3 links set up on the forum are student presentations, teacher comments and quizzes. Essays in students’ speech covered e-commerce, international accounting standard, prospect of Bitcoin, comparison of monetary market between China and the United States, house-for-pension scheme, etc.
