SHNU: Sponsored by ACRG (African-Chinese Research Group) of UB (University of Botswana) and SHNU Confucius Institute of UB, the International Conference on Promoting Mutual Understanding by Multidisciplinary Research between China and Africa was held in library of UB. It was also attended by Chinese ambassador in Botswana, Standing Secretary of Botswana Ministry of Education and about 112 scholars from various nations. The three-day conference started from June 2nd falls into two parts, namely, theme speeches and face-to-face exchanges. 7 research groups are founded to promote the research and cooperation between China and Africa. The conference was also funded by the headquarters of Confucius Institute with the New Chinese Studies Plan of Confucius. |
