SHNU: On June 18th and 19th, the 2014 Graduation Ceremony for Bachelors and Degree Conferring Ceremony were held at SHNU. It was witnessed by SHNU Leading authorities, deans of colleges, representatives of teachers, alumni, and parents and all the bachelor’s graduates. The graduation ceremony falls into four parts, and each of the students’ names was announced by the college deans respectively. SHNU President Zhang Minxuan delivered a speech at the ceremony by quoting the anecdote of wood transferring the fire to another piece of wood. From the metaphor, Zhang would like all the graduates would develop and make the world understand the forces of inheritance. The SHNU alumni also spoke and sent their greetings to the graduates. At the ceremony, the graduates sang songs in chorus, read out English poems Dawn Blossoms Plucked at Dusk with Nigerian, and South Korean students to remember their youth spent in SHNU. |
