SHNU: On June 19th, Director of International General Association of Foguanghui and the 48th heir of Linji of Zen visited SHNU and delivered a talk on the Harmony of Human Society and Natural Ecological System. The Xingyun Master received the certificate of SHNU Honorary Professor after he probed the significance of Void and Existence. Later, he explained the relationship between individual mind, family harmony, interpersonal relation, social harmony and world peace. Gifts were exchanged. SHNU Party Secretary Lu Jianfei also initiated the opening of SHNU Buddhist Research Center. Born in 1927, Xingyun Master became a monk at the age of 12 in Nanjing. He devoted himself to cultural, educational and charity causes throughout his life and even founded a few schools. He won international reputation of Lifelong Award for Influence on World’s Chinese. His 110 works of Buddhism were translated into over 10 languages. |
