SHNU: On June 21, the founding ceremony of SHNU International and Comparative Education Research Institute as well as the University Think Tank and National Education Development Strategy Forum was held on Fengxian campus.
Authorities and experts from China Democratic League, the Ministry of Education, Beijing Normal University, New York University Shanghai, etc. took part in the ceremony. Leaders launched the newly established research institute. SHNU Vice President Liu Xiaomin announced the name list of the board of directors.
SHNU President Zhang Minxuan was engaged as the dean of the institute, which consists of 6 organizations including International Education Research Center, International Urban Research Center, TALIS Shanghai Research Center and TALIS Working Party Secretariat, E-research Institute of International and Comparative Education, Shanghai Student Career Development Education Research Institute and Professional Development Center of Teachers in Private Colleges and Universities of Shanghai.
After the ceremony, Zhang Minxuan made a report on the construction of new type high-end think tank in universities and work plan of international and comparative education research institute in the latter half of 2014. The experts and scholars at the forum had a heated discussion and offered valuable advice about the future development of the institute.
