SHNU Hosts International Symposium on African Industrialization and Sino-African Cooperation

SHNU: As one of the serial academic activities to celebrate the 60th founding anniversary of the university, the International Symposium on African Industrialization and Sino-African Cooperation hosted by SHNU African Studies Center was held on June 20.

Liu Guijin, former Chinese special representative on African affairs, and experts of African studies from China, Zimbabwe, and Botswana attended the symposium. They discussed the theory and practice of African industrialization, regional and national experience of African industrialization, and Sino-African cooperation.

Prof. Mao Xuncheng, assistant to SHNU President, extended a warm welcome to the guests on behalf of the university. He stressed the importance of African industrialization and said SHNU would fully support the work of the center, hoping SHNU could further contribute to researches in this field. Liu Tao, Director of Department of African Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also spoke at the symposium.
