SHNU: The seventh course-completion ceremony for the 2014 Shanghai Summer School Africa Project was held in the International Students Center on July 25th.
Wu Cheng, Executive Deputy Director of SHNU International Affairs Office, addressed to 16 graduates from 6 countries including Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Senegai, Zambia and South Africa. He hoped that international students would experience the cultural differences between Africa and China through the summer camp, and bring the friendship of Chinese people back to Africa.
In the ceremony, students expressed their best wishes to the friendship of China and African by both Chinese and African songs and dances like Friends, My good brother, etc.
Shanghai Summer School is one of the brand project of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and has been held for 7 consecutive years since 2008, the Africa program of which is undertaken by SHNU. The 4-week Chinese language learning and a series of Chinese culture courses were taught to help the students know better the Chinese language and culture.
