SHNU: On August 8th, an academic exchange activity was held between SHNU Urban Development Research Institute and Japan Aichi University. It was attended by SHNU Vice President Liu Xiaomin, Vice Dean of SHNU Urban Development Research Institute, and professors from Aichi University. Liu expressed his welcome to the Aichi guests who have visited SHNU for more than once. After that, a cooperative agreement between Aichi and SHNU was signed, followed by the introduction of recent research focus and tasks of SHNU. It is indicated that exchanges and cooperation in terms of regional geography, disaster management and urban planning should be strengthened among the scholars of both China and Japan. Liu conferred SHNU Guest Professor Certificate to the two professors from Aichi; in return, two SHNU professors were also conferred Aichi Guest Professor Certificate.
