SHNU Animation Awarded Gold Prize at 7th International Animation Festival

SHNU: The water and ink animation Intersection designed by SHNU Xiejin Film, Television and Arts College won the Gold Prize at the 2014 Xiamen 7th International Animation Festival this summer.

 

The water and ink animation is a national treasure that has gone through trials and errors by experts from Shanghai Animation Film Studio during early 1960s. The scientific result won the second prize at National Prize for Progress in Science and Technology. The experts there would expect to bring their work experience to animation majors of universities, which lead to the creation of the work Intersection.

 

Sponsored by the city government of Xiamen, the International Festival is influential home and abroad. The festival attracted 3,199 animation works.
