SHNU: A delegation of 4 from Taiwan National Ilan University (NIU) paid a visit to SHNU on September 24th. SHNU President Zhu Ziqiang and Vice President Gao Jianhua received the guests.
Zhu introduced the historical development, school-running characteristics and the concept of academic exchanges of the university. He said the two universities were both local ones in a city and had a lot in common, and therefore cooperation could be carried out in such areas as urban ecological development and agriculture research.
Presidents of both universities signed an agreement on interscholastic cooperation and academic exchanges which officially launch the exchanges programs.
As one of the first institutions of higher education in Taiwan, National Ilan University ranks the 42nd in the Webometrics Rankings of World Universities (WRWU) issued by Spanish Ministry of Education. NIU has signed academic exchange agreements with over 20 universities in the mainland of China.
