SHNU: The state-level major bidding project of social sciences -- Data Base Construction of Dunhuang Literature, undertaken by SHNU professor Fang Guangchang, passed the examination of National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science the other day.
The data base includes all the relevant data collected in the National Library of China and part of the data in the British Library. The data base consists of 55 interfaces in 8 sections, including about 40% of all the Dunhuang literature in the world.
The data base shows all kinds of information as indicated in Dunhuang literature to facilitate the researchers and improve the efficiency in studying relevant materials. It is also of special significance in setting up the “Hand-copy Learning” of China.
Prof. Fang regards the project of Dunhuang literature data base as a sustainable one that has a rosy prospect. His team will carry out the follow-up work after the completion of this project.
