SHNU: On the night of October 23rd, famous pianist Roger Lord from Canada held a fabulous solo concert on Fengxian campus of SHNU and overwhelmed a multitude of students with his virtuoso performances. Mr. Lord has completed his tour show in dozens of cities, including Paris, Vienna, Beijing, Shanghai and Tokyo. He was lauded by critics, “His talents of mastering minute details endow generous feelings to audiences”. This year, Mr. Lord was invited by the 16th Shanghai International Arts Festival and held 2 solo concerts in Shanghai. The trip differed from previous ones in that it tended to open the door of music to ordinary people from local social communities and students on campuses. It is noted that about 200 citizens from Fengxian, suburban area of Shanghai, have been attracted by the concert. |
