SHNU: Two SHNU teachers Shen Lin and Zhao Xian attended the closing ceremony of the 15th session of 2014 Musicacoustica-Beijing that was held on October 26th. They combined Wu Ge (folk songs among people speaking Wu dialect) -- the intangible cultural heritage -- with electronic music, bringing a fresh feeling to the audience.
Musicacoustica-Beijing, established in 1994 and hosted by Central Conservatory of Music, is now one of the most influential international professional music galas in China, and is gradually developing into a most influential electronic music gala in Asia and even in the world.
After their performance in Beijing, Shen and Zhao will go to Taiwan to attend an international symposium on computer music. They will also deliver speeches and perform there to further show and popularize Wu Ge to the public.
