SISU Professor Wang Enming Lectures in SHNU

SHNU: On November 5, the 19th Huaying Forum(Chinese Talents Forum) is held by SHNU Foreign Languages College. Prof. Wang Enming, PhD supervisor and Director of American Studies Center in Shanghai International Studies University (SISU), gives a lecture on American Culture.

Prof. Wang presents in detail about the class, race and gender in America. He introduces the history of America, population migration and national values with rich examples, with a comparison of European and Chinese cultures inserted in the lecture.

“I really gain a lot from the lecture. I’ve got a better understanding of the social conditions in the United States as well as in its culture. ” said Zhang Yulin, a graduate of the College of Foreign Languages. The lecture by Prof. Wang has been an important part of the Huaying Forum, broadening students’ vision and improving students’ ability of intercultural communication.
