US State Council Delegation Visits SHNU

SHNU: On invitation of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Chairman of Education Committee of West Virginia Senate Robert led a delegation of 14 to visit SHNU and exchanged with Chinese experts on issues of primary education policies and development. The delegation was received by officers from Foreign Affairs Committee of Shanghai People’s Congress, and Director of SHNU International and Comparative Education Research Institute Professor Zhang Minxuan.

It centered around the reasons that Shanghai students excelled in PISA test (Programme for International Student Assessment), advantages of Shanghai primary education, equal education policies and the challenges and deficiencies of Shanghai school. Moreover, students’ pressure, teachers assessment, school president training, and interactions among teachers, students and parents are probed at the conference.
