On the morning of September 12th, Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) held a farewell party for new recruits in the autumn of 2024 on Xuhui Campus Conference Center. Zhu Huijun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of SHNU, staff members of the SHNU Armed Forces Department, student work leaders and counselors of relevant colleges, and parents representatives attended the conference.
At the meeting, Lin Jie, Deputy Minister of the Armed Forces, introduced the overview of SHNU conscription work in the autumn of 2024. Zhang Yanbo, a retired soldier majoring in music performance from the Music Academy of 2021, briefed on his life in the military camp for the new soldiers, inspiring them to hone their willpower and cultivate their qualities in the military camp, and become the backbone of the country.
SHNU mobilized a total of 112 students to apply online for the 2024 autumn conscription program. This year, SHNU has recruited a total of 19 college graduates in the spring and autumn seasons, successfully completing 2024 recruitment work.
