Delegation from Douglas College in Canada Visited the SHNU and Signed Cooperation Agreement

On the morning of June 3rd, Kathy Denton, President of Douglas College (DC) in Canada, led a delegation including Thor Borgford, Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs from DC, and Leonel Roldan Flores, Vice Dean of International Education, to visit our university. Principal Yuan Wen and Vice Principal Jiang Mingjun warmly met with the guests.

At the beginning of the meeting, President Yuan Wen briefly introduced the remarkable achievements of our university in the process of internationalization, and emphasized that the cooperation between Shanghai Normal University and Douglas College in Canada is a microcosm of the many intercollegiate exchanges between the universities. She expects both parties to further conduct in-depth research and cooperation in diverse academic fields such as sports education.

The DC President Casey Denton highly appreciated the warm reception and outstanding achievements of SHNU in international education. She hopes that the two universities can continue to strengthen cooperation and exchanges, support mutual visits between teachers and students, achieve academic achievement sharing, and build cross-cultural practice platforms to create broader growth opportunities for students.

In a warm and friendly atmosphere, both sides jointly renewed the memorandum of cooperation , providing a broader space for future cooperation.

It is noted that SHNU has a long history of exchange and cooperation with Douglas College in Canada, dating back to the 1990s. As an influential public institution in Canada, Douglas College has a strong reputation in the field of applied subject education.
