SHNU selection of ‘The 12th Challenge Cup’ China University Students Extracurricular Acade

    SHNU will select the best scientific research projects to take part in ‘The 12th Challenge Cup’. The accreditation will be carried out by Department of Science and Technology, Department of Social Sciences and SHNU Committee of Communist Youth League during April to May this year.

    The application deadline is 16 April, 2010. Please hand in the application form to the office of CYL Committee (Room 412, Xiangzhang Building, Xuhui Campus). The oral defense will be held during early May and the final results will be published during mid May. The whole research project should be finished before February 2011 and a mid-term exam will be provided in November 2010.

The research projects should be based on economic and social life. Projects are classified into three groups:
(1) Program of science and technology
(2) Program or social research report of social sciences and philosophy
(3) Science invention:

Group A: Invention or work of high technology and with large input
Group B: Invention or work with small input but closely related to production technology and daily life
Projects set up by CYL Committee and those by students themselves are both welcome.

    Limited to 20 projects will be selected and each will be funded 1,000 RMB. 10 projects will be chosen as key projects post the mid-term exam. Another aid of no more than 1,000 RMB will be given. Projects that have never been funded before will also share this aid.
