Study Tour Programs to Australia in Winter Vacation

In order to develop SHNU’s courses with its own characteristics and majors at the international level, and cultivate talents with international vision and ability to engage themselves in global affairs, the university now offers opportunities to study abroad in the coming winter vacation. 

A. Basic information of the program
1. UNSW ( University of New South Wales ), Australia
(1) Theme: sustainable development
(2) Content:
Courses: lectures or seminars on environment, climate, energy, food and medical care; specialty English courses.
Activities: cultural exchanges and interactions with students in UNSW
Places to visit: Sydney and surrounding areas
(3) Time: from February 1st to 14th, 2015
(4) Number of students: 25-30

2. University of Canberra, Australia
(1) Theme: cross-cultural communication
(2) Content
Courses: lectures or seminars on language, culture, communication studies and sociology.
Activities: cultural exchanges and interactions with students in University of Canberra.
Places to visit: Canberra and surrounding areas
(3) Time: February 15th to 28th , 2015
(4) Number of students: 25-30

B. Qualifications:
1. SHNU undergraduate students in their second year or higher. (UNSW for students of science and engineering and University of Canberra for students of liberal arts)
2. Excellent performance at school and at least 2.5 of GPA.
3. Good English skills especially in listening and speaking.
4. Good physical and mental health
5. First time to participate in such programs for short-term international exchanges.

C. Fees
1. SHNU shall pay for the fees during the study tour including tuition fees, visit and investigation fees, accommodation and part of the board.
2. Students will pay for the fees of passport, visa, insurances, a round-trip ticket, part of the board and other personal expenses.
