Program Description
Shanghai Normal University’s School of Finance and Business offers Master of Science in Finance taught in English program (MF in English). The objective of the program is to prepare students for a career in corporate financial management, which involves forecasting, budgeting, planning and controlling the financial operations of a business.

One distinctive advantage of the program is our focusing on your development of strong quantitative analysis skills, such as methods of statistical analysis. Students could select one of the three tracks of the program: Financial Calculation and Modeling, Financial Risk Management, and Capital Operation Management. Besides, the design of Chinese Language courses is aiming to prepare the students who would love to stay and work in China.

Program Requirements
The MF in English program requires the completion of 33 credit hours within 2 years Full-time education, among which, 17credtis are core courses and 16 credits are elective courses. Students have also the option to intern in finance corporates for three months.
Graduation Requirement: Students must complete 33 credit hours and the professional thesis for graduation.

Students who have no background in finance or business need to make up two of the following courses:

Thesis Arrangements
From the third semester, students should start to select topics of thesis and complete the opening report in the end of the semester. At the end of the fourth semester, students should complete the final version of the thesis. Thesis oral defense will be held at the end of the fourth semester. The thesis should be written and defended both in English.

• Tuition: 28000RMB / year.
• Registration Fee: 450 RMB
• Entrance exam: 200 RMB

• On Campus: 1500 RMB~3300 RMB / Month
• Off Campus: 2500RMB~3500 RMB / Month

• Official Transcripts (from an accredited college or university)
• For applicants of non-English native speaker: TOEFL score 65 or IELTS 5.5 or the relevant evidence which shows English as the main language of instruction during the undergraduate study.
• Three Letters of Recommendation (associate professor or above)
• Copy of The Passport and 8 Passport Photos

All application materials must be submitted by the deadline in May 31, 2015, in order to be reviewed during admission cycle.

Admissions
In addition to the application documents and fee, several items are required to determine admission including:
• Bachelor’s Degree: Degrees in Economics, Management, Business, Mathematics and Science of Engineering are preferred
• Pass Entrance Examination
