SHNU: The Opening Ceremony of SHNU Wing Chun (a traditional Chinese martial art) Social Group was held at SHNU College of Physical Education on June 12th. It was attended by Zhun Ye, Chairman of World Wing Chun Federation and his disciples, members of Wing Chun Shanghai Branch, and representatives from SHNU.
As a traditional Chinese martial art, the Wing Chun boasts over 200 years of history and is regarded as a positive and efficient defense system to curb external attacks.
The 93-year-old chairman of Wing Chun, the descendant of Wing Chun arts, thanked SHNU for attention paid on it. He also hoped that Wing Chun could be promoted to local social communities, primary schools and middles schools.
So far, SHNU has 22 social groups of athletics. The SHNU College of Physical Education is expected to play an active role in expanding the influence of Wing Chun among teachers and students of primary schools and middles schools in Shanghai.
