Memorandum of Cooperation Signed with San Francisco State University

    SHNU: On March 4, Prof. Wang Hongxiang from Soka University of Japan delivered a lecture entitled Daisaku Ikeda and China. Prof. Su Zhiliang, dean of College of Humanities and Communications of SHNU, presided over the lecture.

    The whole lecture centered on the efforts that Daisaku Ikeda has made in increasing the friendship between Chinese and Japanese peoples. The lecture was well received and studentsput forward questions and had a heated discussion with Wang.

    Last October, a cooperative agreement was signed between Soka and SHNU, and the Research Center of Daisaku Ikeda was set up at the same time.

    Soka University was opened in 1971 and founded on the principles of humanistic education. With 6 colleges offering courses of economy, law, humanity, business administration, education and engineering, the university now has a student enrollment of over 8,000.
