SHNU: On June 3rd, Jerry Farley, President of Washburn University, visited SHNU and was received by Li Jin, SHNU President, leaders from SHNU Department of International Affairs and 3 students who would soon be exchanged students of the university.
Both sides extended fond wishes to seek exchanges and cooperation in a wider range and more friendly yet beneficial sense.
Washburn University started intercollegiate communications with SHNU since May, 2007. Currently, an annual 2 to 4 students are exchanged for learning; also, arts exchanges are frequent, and Washburn University Arts Troupe have been invited to stage shows in SHNU International Arts Festival for 2 consecutive years.
Founded in 1865, Washburn University is a public university located in Kansas in Central US, with the present student number of over 7 thousand.
