1st Slavic Research Seminar Held in SHNU

SHNU: Sponsored by SHNU Guangqi International Scholars' Center, the first Slavic Research Seminar was held at SHNU on October 18th. Themed Russian Literature in the International Historic Process, the conference attracted scholars and experts from various universities across the world, such as East China Normal University, Shanghai University, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Beijing Normal University, Lomonosov Moscow University, Japan Kyoto University, Tokyo University, Chung-Ang University in South Korea, and Hankuk University of ForeignStudies, etc.

Composed of three parts, from Ancient Russia to Modern Texts, Literature, Vision and Image, Russian Literature and Cultural Research in Neighborhood Countries, the seminar has two forms: theme speech and discussions.

As renowned scholars of Russian Literature Research, the participants exchanged ideas on this topic in the international historic process from different perspectives. This would contribute to a deepened understanding of Slavic research and a creative definition of Russian literature.
