09 Oct 2010

    SHNU:
The Course-completion Ceremony of the Fourth-term Chinese Class of Botswana Confucius Institute was held in Botswana University on Sept. 28. Prof. Youngman, Vice President of Botswana University and people concerned attended the ceremony. Also present were 110 students who had passed the exam and obtained course-completion certificates.

Among the 150 students of this class, there were professors, instructors and staff of Botswana University and department heads of local enterprises. Most of them had lots of work to do during the days, but they stuck to attending all the classes. Their perseverance and remarkable achievements impressed the working staff of the institute.

On the ceremony, students sang Chinese songs they had elaborately prepared. Their performance pushed the atmosphere into a climax when students and teachers got together singing and laughing, sharing the pleasure of cross-cultural communication.

About 530 students have studied in Botswana Confucius institute since the first Chinese class opened in July, 2009. The fifth term will start on October 4.
