SHNU: On October 14th, an agreement of students exchange was signed between University of Kentucky and SHNU, attended by Lu Jianfei, SHNU Vice President, Kumble Subbaswamy, Provost of University of Kentucky and Xiu Huajing, Dean of the Confucius Institute of UK. The program aimed at improving SHNU students’ language proficiency and intercultureal communication competence.
Founded in 1865, University of Kentucky ranks 36th among American public universities. The university is reputed for teaching facilities and research library.
Lu reviewed how SHNU had been committed in overseas exchange activities and hoped that there would be more frequent exchanges between the two universities. Mr. Subbaswamy appreciated the warm welcome from SHNU and expected further cooperation in future.
After gifts exchange, Mr. Subbaswamy was show around the new Laboratory of SHNU College of Education.
