Delegation from the University of Missouri Visits SHNU

    SHNU:
A delegation from the University of Missouri (UM) headed by its Vice President Handy Williamson paid a visit to SHNU on November 1.

    SHNU Vice President Yuan Wen cordially received the guests. She gave a general introduction of SHNU and Confucius Institutes (CI) of SHNU. Prof. Williamson said UM would fully support the SHNU-UM joint application for the operation of CI. Both parties expressed their will to build the first CI of SHNU in the U.S. into one with social influence and academic glamour. 

    Founded in 1893, UM has a reputation of excellent teaching and research, and is the flagship campus of the four-campus University of Missouri System. With a total student enrollment of 63, 000 and 280 degree programs, UM is the only university of the Missouri State that was included in AAU(Association of American Universities).
