SHNU Delegation Completes Its Visits to Sister Universities in Australia and New Zealand

SHNU:SHNU delegation headed by Vice President Gao Jianhua successfully finished their visits to sister universities in Australia and New Zealand and came back the other day.

The SHNU delegation visited Canberra University during its stay in Australia. The two sides discussed cooperation on the exchange visits of teachers and students between the two universities, cooperative education and other issues, and reached a primary agreement.

In Australia, the delegation was also well received by Madame Fuyuan, former president of SHNU Alumni Association, and Prof Jiang Fan, President of China-Australia Culture and Education Exchange Center. The two parties talked a lot on the cultural communication between China and Australia.

In New Zealand, a memorandum on exchange of teachers and students and academic cooperation was signed between SHNU and Universal College of Learning (UCOL). Both sides hoped they would seek further opportunities of cooperation in the interests of its teachers and students.

Founded in 1989, the Universal College of Learning or UCOL is an award winning, government-funded institute of technology and polytechnic with three campuses in the lower half of the North Island of New Zealand. UCOL is known for its various forms of continuing education, including vocational training, which helps update and spread knowledge and expertise. All these contribute to the promotion of learning in the community, especially to the promotion of community development with applied and technological researches.
