SHNU: Accompanied by the Secretary General of International Exchanges Association of Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, the delegation of 4, headed by Yokoyama, the newly-appointed Director of the Board of Kyoto University of Foreign Studies (KUFS), paid a visit to SHNU on February 25th, 2011. SHNU Vice President Lu Jianfei cordially received the guests.
Lu expressed his concerns on the communications and cooperation between SHNU and KUFS, and hoped that there would be cooperation in more fields. Yokoyama stressed his emphasis on the cooperative programs with SHNU, and initiated the students exchange programs with SHNU after signing the intercollegiate agreements. Also, the summer training class of Shanghai Cultural Experience that is planned to start this August is also on the table.
According to the agreement that took effect last November, 2 students from each party have been selected for this exchange program.
The visiting guests also included 3 students who ranked among the top 3 in the Chinese Language Speaking Contest held in Japan.
Kyoto University of Foreign Studies is a private foreign language university located in Kyoto, Japan. KUFS specializes in 8 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Chinese, Italian and Japanese.
