SHNU: A delegation from University of Ljubljana (UL), Slovenia paid a visit to SHNU on December 16. The delegates included Prof. Stane Pejovnik, President of UL, Danijela Voljc, Dean of UL Chinese Department and Director of CI, and Prof. Mitja Saje, a Sinologist. SHNU Vice President Cong Yuhao received the guests.
Cong extended a warm welcome to the visitors and gave a brief introduction of SHNU. The visitors talked about the Confucius Institute of UL, the popularization of the Chinese language as well as the cultural activities in local Ljubljana. The two parties discussed the possibility of making a framework agreement, under which programs on teacher and students exchanges and exchanges of art can be carried out.
Located in Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia, the University of Slovenia was founded in 1917 and is one of the two comprehensive universities in the city. UL has more than 60,000 graduate and postgraduate students. There are now over 3000 teachers working in its 3 arts academies and 23 faculties.
