SHNU: On June 27th, Chung Chiun Liu, professor from Case Western Reserve University, was invited to deliver a speech for SHNU Life and Environmental Science College, with the theme of Advancement in Biomedical Sensor Development Using Thick and Thin Film Technologies.
As an electrochemist and micro-sensor expert with international reputation, Liu won PAESMEM (Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics & Engineering Mentoring) in 2003. He became the guest professor of SHNU during the three-week academic trip for loan programs for the World Bank in 1989.
Liu shows particular interest in his almost 100% accurate detection of women’s breast cancer and men’s prostatic cancer through his instruments.
