SHNU: The graduation ceremony for Level 12 students of the Confucius Institute (CI) of the University of Botswana (UB) was held at the library of UB on March 28.
The 7 CI graduates all hold important offices and are quite busy with their daily work, but they finished all the required Chinese study in five years with the love for the Chinese language and culture. Professor Patt, acting dean of CI, was among the 7 and presided over the ceremony.
Chinese Ambassador Zheng Zhuqiang congratulated the first batch of the CI graduates and affirmed the achievements of CI during the five years, saying the institute has played an important role in promoting the educational and cultural exchanges of China and Botswana as well as the mutual understanding between people in the two countries.
Professor Anderson, special representative of UB president, issued graduating certificates to the graduates.
