SHNU Signs Memorandum of Cooperation with Canberra

SHNU: On April 10th, Chief Minister and Mayor of Canberra, Capital of Australia Katy Gallagher talked with SHNU President Zhang Minxuan for bilateral education cooperation and signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on Academic Exchanges between Australian Capital Administration and SHNU. This marks the first time that SHNU has even been involved in signing such a memorandum.

SHNU President Zhang stressed that the university aimed at cultivation students and teachers of international vision and would set out the plan of increasing the fees for international exchanges and cooperation by 10 percent every year, sending 100 teachers and 1, 000 students for overseas study every year.

Gallagher wished more cooperation could be realized in terms of education exchanges and language acquisition, teacher education and scientific research among SHNU and universities in Canberra and among elementary and secondary schools.
The April 11th edition of The Canberra Times reported on Gllagher’s visit in Shanghai and the photo of memorandum signing ceremony with Zhang was published by the newspaper.
