Cooperative Plan of 20+20 Initiated between Universities in China and Africa

SHNU: On September 16th, the Cooperative Plan of 20+20 (20 universities in China and 20 ones in Africa for one-on-one education programs) between SHNU and University of Botswana in Africa kicked off on Xuhui campus of SHNU. It was attended by representatives from department of SHNU African Research Center and Office of International and Regional Exchange.

The three programs involved in this plan concerns that of Professor Li Zhaoguo TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and Cultural Disciplines Construction, Professor Ding Nianjin Training Education Methods of Primary and Secondary School Teachers, and Dr. Liu Bo Comparative Research of Public Responses of People in China and Botswana.

With strong academic research background on African studies and strengths in primary and secondary education as well as arts education, SHNU became one of the members of the 20 universities in China to attend the 20+20 Plan which was started in 2010. For several years, SHNU has carried forward the development of Chinese language courses in Botswana, the cooperative exploration of Sino-African traditional herbal plants to combat HIV, Chinese historical and cultural classes, exchange visit of Botswana math teachers, talent tapping of digital memory management, etc.
