President of German Erfurt HWK Visits SHNU

    SHNU: Recently, Thomas Malcherek, President of German HWK, and his two other colleagues visited SHNU. They conducted a fruitful talk with the SHNU College of Information, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineering about the construction of Sino-German overseas training base, students’ cultivation, and training of teachers with double capacities (either holding a Teacher’s Qualification Certificate or bearing a professional certificate)..
  
   SHNU Vice President Cong Yuhao received the guests and spoke highly of German technology and their pragmatic spirit. He confirmed the outcome of Sino-Germany cooperation program, and put forward some requests and expectation. Besides the training program of students, he also gave his special concern about the improvement of teachers’ practical abilities, hoping that Erfurt HWK could provide a platform for both short-term and long-term teacher training.

    The German delegation attended the Application Oriented Talents and Trans-boundary Teacher Training Forum organized by the college. SHNU Vice President Gao Jianhua attended this meeting. Several presidents of national secondary vocational reform model schools, also outstanding SHNU alumni, commented on application-oriented talents and in-service teachers’ training, saying they were willing to provide practical platforms for SHNU.

    Thomas Malcherek and his colleagues also delivered a theme speech for sophomores majoring in Sino-German automobile. Erfurt HWK will become another powerful overseas training base after Bavaria Upper Franken District.
