SHNU: Sponsored by the World Bank and SHNU, the three-day Global Conference on Equity and Excellence in Basic Education was brought to an end in SHNU on May 19th.
Hosted by Harry Patrinos, the Vice Director of Education of World Bank, the conference attracted education official from various countries to exchange experience and ideas on professional development of teachers and management mechanism of education.
The closing ceremony was held at Xiafei Theatre of SHNU. SHNU Party Secretary Teng Jianyong, and Vice Minister of Afghanistan Ministry of Education Ibrahim Shinwari delivered the speeches at the ceremony.
Also, arts programs were shown at the ceremony for the audiences. During the three-day period, the participants entered 8 Shanghai local primary and middle schools to interact with school masters, teachers and students to explore the Shanghai Secret together.
