UNESCO Chairman Simataa Visits SHNU

 SHNU: On June 20th, Mr Stanley Mutumba Simataa, President of the 38th session of the General Conference of UNESCO, led a delegation to pay an unofficial visit to SHNU and was received by SHNU President Zhu Ziqiang. It was also attended by Professor Zhang Minxuan, Director of SHNU International and Comparative Education Research Institute, and representatives from SHNU College of Education and Department of International Affairs.
 
SHNU President Zhu extended warm welcome to the visitors and briefed on the wishes and preparation of SHNU to apply to the UNESCO for the Program of Shanghai International Teacher Education Center. Mr. Zhang introduced Shanghai experience in PISA and TALIS and contributions Shanghai has made in the development of basic education and SHNU has made in Shanghai basic education.
Mr. Simataa also expected to promote exchanges and cooperation between SHNU and UNESCO, and between SHNU and Namibia.
