US Education Secretary Visits SHNU

SHNU: John B. King, Jr., the US Secretary of Education, visited SHNU with senior consultant Maureen A. McLaughlin, and explored the development of SHNU basic education teachers, so as to promote the education reforms of the secondary and primary schools in the US.
 
The visitors were received by SHNU President Zhu Ziqiang and briefed on the development history of SHNU, the education features, disciplines construction and the internationalization process. Particularly, Zhu introduced the recent exchanges and cooperation with American institutions, such as the cooperation with Harvard, Princeton, the University of California, Santa Cruz, and the dialogue conference of 3rd Sino-American Education Directors, etc.
 
The visitors were also shown around some key middle schools of Shanghai and exchanged ideas with school heads and teachers there.
