The two parties had a full discussion about academic exchange and cooperation, and swapped ideas on such particular areas as training of in-service teachers, learning of exchange students and joint programs of student education. A memorandum of understanding for further cooperation was signed after the meeting. The guests also visited the university history room, the museum and Shapeless Gallery of the College of Fine Arts. Founded in 1965, Simon Fraser University has long enjoyed a reputation as a comprehensive university in Canada and has been ranked as one of Canada’s top three comprehensive universities for 20 years. SFU was ranked 1st among Canada’s Comprehensive Universities in 2009, 2010, and 2011 by Maclean's. It offers more than 100 undergraduate major programs and 45 graduate offerings.
