From November 24thto December 5th, the Personnel Department, in collaboration with the College of Education and the Professional Development Research Center for University Teachers, designed the "Teacher Lifelong Growth Support Program for Young Faculty: Shanghai University New Teacher Pre-Service Training" tailored for 48 newly-hired teachers. This training program consisted of five major modules: keynote lectures on teaching philosophy, workshops on teaching innovation, micro-teaching practice sessions, observation of exemplary classroom demonstrations, and self-directed study using open educational resources, creating a comprehensive growth pathway that integrates theory and practice. The program invited over ten experts from both university and external institutions, including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, and East China University of Science and Technology, to deliver thematic reports and workshop guidance. Among them were winners of the National Young Teachers Teaching Competition and the National Teaching Innovation Competition, as well as seasoned competition mentors. The new teachers expressed that they benefited greatly from the training.

As the core component of the training activity, micro-teaching employs a three-round model: new teachers design 20-minute teaching segments around real classroom tasks, cycles of trial teaching, mentor feedback, and optimization adjustments. Most teachers transition from script-reading instruction to interactive teaching, with clear and visible progress.
