The SHNU Journal Awarded “Highly Influential Academic Journal"

Intangible Cultural Heritage Research, a professional journal dedicated to the study of intangible cultural heritage dissemination and preservation, is jointly organized by SHNU and the Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Center of SHNU. Lu Jianfei, former Party Committee Secretary of SHNU and director of the Intangible Cultural Heritage Research Center, serves as the editor-in-chief, while the renowned cultural scholar Feng Jicai acts as the honorary editor-in-chief. The journal was launched in 2016 and has published 38 issues to date, featuring nearly 700 articles.

It is a source journal indexed by CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) and the National Academic Journal Database for Philosophy and Social Sciences. It is also fully included in databases such as Wanfang, Longyuan, VIP, and Chaoxing, with its social recognition increasingly growing.

Intangible Cultural Heritage Research has been changed from a quarterly to a semiannual publication starting in 2025, with each issue featuring expanded page content and further improved article quality. In December 2025, according to evaluations by CNKI and the Chinese Science Literature Metrics and Evaluation Research Center, the journal has once again recognized as a "High-Impact Academic Journal," ranking fourth nationally in the category of "Ethnology and Cultural Studies", moving u one position compared with 2024.
