Recently, the National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences released the announcement of the 2025 National Social Science Fund Major Projects and the Major Historical Issues of China Research of History. In2025, a total of 302 projects were approved nationwide, with three projects from Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) receiving funding, ranking 25thnationally and 5thin Shanghai. For the 2025 National Social Science Funds, 28 projects were approved of the funds, with one project from SHNU, ranking 4th nationwide.
The four funded projects include Research on the Historical Evolution and Contemporary Value of the "Unity in Diversity" Concept, Studies on the East India Companies and the Westward Transmission of Chinese Culture, Research on the Sinicization of Religions in China and Civilizational Exchange, and Studies on Chinese Refugee Safe Zones During World War II.
