At the beginning of the new year, the university held the "Spring Cup" Faculty Table Tennis Tournament on Xuhui Campus on January 7th. Co-organized by the School of Physical Education and the Faculty Table Tennis Associationof SHNU (Shanghai Normal University), the event attracted nearly 150 faculty members from various departments and faculties across the university to participate enthusiastically. Deputy Party Committee Secretary of the university, Zhang Yejiang, emphasized in his opening speech that the event aimed to promote the physical and mental well-being of faculty members, foster mutual communication, and enhance communications.
The competition adopts a mixed team format, divided into two stages: the first stage consists of group round-robin matches, and the second stage features knockout rounds. Each match includes the following events in order: men's singles, mixed doubles, women's singles, men's doubles, and men's singles. After intense competition among the 16 participating teams, the core school teams from the Machinery and Basic Education Group secured the championship and runner-up positions, respectively.
This competition not only provided faculty members with a platform to strengthen their physical health but also fostered communication and collaboration among them, creating a positive and uplifting campus culture.
