On January 8th, Clarivate Analytics released the latest ESI data for January 2026. The data shows that two SHNU disciplines, agricultural science and biology & biochemistry, have entered the global top 1% in ESI for the first time. As a result, the number of disciplines of SHNU ranked in the top 1% of ESI globally has reached 10, including chemistry, mathematics, materials science, engineering, plant & animal science, environmental science & ecology, social sciences general, psychiatry & psychology, agricultural science, and biology & biochemistry, marking a breakthrough in discipline development.
ESI (Essential Science Indicators) is a widely recognized evaluation tool used globally to assess the international academic performance and influence of universities, academic institutions, countries, and regions. This data covers the period from January 2015 to October 2025.
