On March 12th, the 48th Tree Planting Day, the Shanghai Normal University (SHNU) held a themed activity for the 2026 Tree Planting Day on Fengxian Campus. The SHNU leaders Wu Peidong, Teng Yun, Jiang Mingjun, Li Guojuan, Cao Guangming, and heads of relevant departments worked alongside teachers and students, digging with shovels and planting trees together, fulfilling the promise of spring. This year marks the 72nd anniversary of the university's founding, and the staff and students planted 72 saplings together, embedding their best wishes for the university into the planting process, allowing green hope to grow. From digging pits with shovels to holding saplings, filling soil, and watering, each step was performed with care, creating a bustling scene of labor that added vibrant energy to the springtime campus.

Through the tree planting activity, teachers and students not only nurtured greenery with their efforts but also cultivated ecological consciousness and strengthened their love and pride for the university.  In recent years, the university has continuously advanced the construction of a green campus, integrating ecological concepts into the entire process of education and teaching. Moving forward, the university will focus on the dual integration of "ecological function and educational value," organizing distinctive activities such as tree adoption, enabling teachers and students to enhance their ecological conservation awareness. Meanwhile, through scientific planning of campus greening layouts and meticulous creation of green landscapes, the university will strive to build a harmonious campus.
