On March 31st, the Ceremony of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Palmes académiques was held at the residence of the French Consul General in Shanghai, the "Villa Basset." The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Joan Valadou, the French Consul General in Shanghai, who, on behalf of the French Minister of National Education, awarded Professor Wang Fang from SHNU Film and MediaArts the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Palmes académiques. The Education Consul of the French Consulate General in Shanghai, former Culture Consul, specialists, and numerous guests attended the ceremony.  Twelve years after being awarded the Order of Arts and Letters in 2014, Professor Wang Fang has once again received international recognition in the fields of film academic research and education, as well as international cultural exchange. Established by Napoleon I in 1808, Chevalier de l’Ordre des Palmes académiques is one of the oldest national honors in France and is currently awarded by the French Ministry of National Education. It is a prestigious title conferred by the French Republic to outstanding individuals in education, academia, and cultural dissemination, in recognition of their exceptional contributions to education, knowledge promotion, academic research, and the French cultural influence.

Professor Wang Fang has long been engaged in film studies, film education, and international cultural exchange. She has achieved remarkable accomplishments in French cinema research, the development of global film academic platforms, and Sino-French film cultural cooperation, earning widespread academic influence and social recognition.
