On May 8th, Lin Zaiyong, SHNU Party Secretary, met Vladimir Tomasevic, Dean, University Union Nikola Tesla and Director, Institute of Artistic Dance, Belgrade, Prof. Aleksandar Ilic, Director, Cultural Centre of Belgrade, and Prof. Dejan Sinadinovic, Professor, Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade and President, Chinese-Serbian Center for Scientific and Cultural Exchange. The artists from Serbia also cooperated with the students arts groups from SHNU College of Music for arts performances at Mini-Music Hall on the eastern Xuhui Campus of SHNU.
SHNU Party Secretary Lin first extended his warm welcome for the university delegates from Serbia. He reviewed on the education development and achievements of SHNU in recent years, as well as the detailed introductions of teacher education characteristics and development plans of education internationalization. He also hoped that more cooperation opportunities should be explored among universities between Serbia and China.
Vladimir fist thanked SHNU for the warm reception he and his delegation were given and he expressed his hopes of strengthening ties in terms of traditional folk dances, new media technology and video production, as well as the possibilities of world tour performances.
There has been wide cooperation between China and Serbia in many areas such as economy, infrastructure, energy and industry. It is believed that there is much brighter future for cultural and academic communications among universities between the two countries in the future.
